Brad - 24” x 30”
Brad is a solid softwood slab made from scrap from the junk drawer. We thought he was going to be mostly teal in color, but ended up showing his inner redhead near the end. Who knew he’d turn out so spicy?
$360.00
Brad is no longer available for adoption
He was sold to a gruff, tattooed and talented chef for presentation of some of his works. Go ahead and follow

for a chance to see Brad in action! We tried their hot sauce, turns out, it’s rad.
About Our Slabs
We’re pretty obsessed with minimizing our shop waste. Like, maybe an unhealthy amount. All our wood waste is saved and run through a chop saw set at 3.5 inches (that’s the thickness of our slabs) and the only scrap that gets thrown away is stuff that’s too small to make slabs out of. We even save and re-use shop sawdust and floor sweepings just to keep it out of the landfill. We’re proud to say that our average daily shop trash averages around 2 cubic feet. Each slab is built from end-grain scrap, but some often have themes when we have a lot of waste from a big project or spring cleaning. We made a couple once that were almost entirely fancy vintage moldings! We frame each one with standard 2x4 scrap, then pressure fit as much junk in there as we can. Then it sits in the shop as a drainboard for scrap paint, resin projects, whatever messy stuff we’re up to until it fills up and is as strong as a small dog who isn’t ready to go in yet. We plane the top flat, sand off the splinters, then it’s all yours.
Pricing is $.50 per square inch, that’s it. That’s for an unfinished slab with a flat-ish top and sanded to 60 grit.
Want something else? We’re happy to take it to any level of finish, or even build something out of it if you want. Just ask and we’re always happy to do something special!
